You may experience problems updating the game if you're having network issues, certain Windows-level problems, or if you have remnants of a previous partial install on your system.
If you are encountering issues with the game, please try performing a clean install:
1. Locate the C:\Program Files (x86)\Wizards of the Coast. Note that this is the default file path for *MTG Arena*. In the case that you have changed the default file location, you will have a different file path.
2. Manually delete the MTGA folder
3. Uninstall *MTG Arena* from your computer
4. Download MTG Arena
* Temporarily turn off anti-virus, firewall, and similar security software.
If you continue to have trouble installing the client from our webpage we can also suggest trying from Steam. You can find MTG Arena on Steam at the following link.
Make sure you are using a 64-bit client, as 32-bit clients are no longer supported as of the Core Set 2021 release. This was necessary to improve game and client performance and expand our supported platforms. Though impacting less than 1% of players, you can verify which version of Windows you're running in your System settings.
